Businesses can now authorize others to access
their CRA account online
(NC)— Business owners can now authorize trusted representatives, including employees, to manage their business tax information online on the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website.
Representatives can register through the "Represent a client" feature where they will receive a representative identification (RepID) that they will give to their client (or employer). The client or employer will in turn authorize them, through My Business Account, using the "Authorize or manage representatives" link.
Alternatively, a client or business owner can authorize their representative for online access by completing and submitting the revised Business Consent Form (RC59).
